Breakthrough producer Conrad Subs who has been making his mark on highly respected labels globally continues to demonstrate his ongoing versatility with the stunning “Back In Time EP”. This four-track statement piece with a multitude of influences ranging from upfront Drum and Bass to subliminal Liquid and future thinking Jungle is loaded with tunes every DJ need in his*her toolbox!

Kicking things of is “Ability”, opening with old school arpeggios and soaring rave bleeps firing up the time machine and dial it back to the noughties. A vocal in the break is encouraging your ability to overcome and manage the wickedness inside and outside of yourself whilst pulsating pads come flying in. Wait for the distinctive shuffle of drums, multiple basslines, subs and hard-hitting skanking breaks to drop bringing back a classic “Bodyrock” vibe. This 90s euphoria-weapon guarantees to have the crowd begging for reload!

Next up, we’re funkified by “Back in Time” which combines an atmospheric and deep build-up with a jagged bassline in its drop. The dope rolling title-track is packed with enchanting drums and subtle percussions crafted clean for beat connoisseurs and the stepper’s crew alike. Conrad Subs impresses with his own slick take of raw Drum and Bass cuts in the vein of Break and Invaderz fusing his signature bass growls with intricate high-tech funk.

“I’ll Be Waiting” is a heartfelt number fitting of the emotions many have been experiencing in the last time. Otherworldly synth riffs meet a Liquid vocal led by the wonderful singer and songwriter Aleya Mae riding over mind blowing frequencies, deep 80ties pads, cleverly arranged sounds being thrown-in for good measure. Contemporary warm Liquid vibrations and a dubbed-out space touch make this one a sure close-your-eyes-to tune on the floor.

Last up, “Trippin” takes you on a subconscious journey featuring the captivating vocals of Fraser. Reversed jazzy organ sounds, sax and piano snips interact with punchy rave stabs and low frequencies underneath mental lyrics like “your presence getting deeper, your heart beats faster, the drums feeling harder”. Emitting rays of heavy bass signals and pushing all the right buttons this is a warm trip that you’ll like to go on.

With the “Back In Time EP” Original Key deliver gives you a smasher of a release on which Conrad Subs shows again why he’s one of the most upfront producers of today bringing the dancefloor energy we are overjoyed to be experiencing at events again.
